It’s been quite on the blog, due to the fact my husband has a whole week vacation. We are enjoying having him home so much!
This was our breakfast this very morning… Sausage gravy, biscuits, and fermented sauerkraut. Yummy.
Fresh cream from our local farmer… for my tea,of course 🙂 I also make butter twice a week with all the cream I skim off of my whole milk. LOVE IT
We may live in the city limits, but it seems that we always have a project going on!
We really delight in the forgotten arts. Lately it’s been fermenting, making pasta and (below) the men folk have been forging tools. They wanted a froe, and decided to build one. They built a rocket stove out of bricks, and started banging on the metal. It turned out nice, it just needs to be tempered now.
Pretty for a tool, and very sharp too.
I plan on posting my cinnamon roll recipe soon 😉
