This simple strawberry matcha latte recipe is easy, delicious, and snap to make from home. After trying Matcha for the first time at a coffee shop, I had to try making strawberry matcha in my kitchen.
It turns out that making it at home is effortless and can save you a bunch, especially when a drink at a coffee shop is around six to ten dollars a piece!

Simple Strawberry Matcha Latte Recipe
Making drinks from home has been a new passion of mine. Coffee drinks are my go-to; however, now that I’m trying out Matcha, I am excited to try new combinations. I think mango or peach puree would be a fabulous combination.

Ingredients
2 cups of Strawberries
1/4 cup of honey (if you like extra sweet syrup you can use a 1/2 cup of honey)
2 teaspoons of Matcha (Matcha -follow the matcha directions on the back of the bag to make one cup of matcha)
1/4 cup warm water
1 cup of whole milk
Instructions
Put two cups of strawberries into a blender with the 1/4 -1/2 cup of honey (depending on how sweet you like it ) and blend until smooth. Put in a glass jar with a lid and store in the fridge for up to a week. This will be your strawberry base for the drink.
Take 1/4 cup of warm water and blend 1/2 tsp to 2 tsp* of matcha with a whisk until smooth. I add in 3/4 cup of whole milk and whisk in with match mixture.
* different brands of matcha have different measurements for how much matcha to use to make a cup of matcha, so read the back of the package to know how much you should add to make one cup of matcha.
Now to make the cold foam, add about 1/2 a cup of whole milk and turn on your frother/cold foam maker to make cold foam. It should be nice and stiff when it’s done frothing. (You can just add milk and skip this part, it will still taste good even if you don’t have a frother)
Use a nice tall glass and add 1/4 of a cup of the strawberry mixture and a handful of ice. Slowly add one cup of the milk matcha mixture, then add your cold foam. You can drizzle a little strawberry syrup on top too.

Common Questions When Making Match
What do I need to make a Strawberry Matcha Latte? You will need green matcha powder, strawberries, honey, and milk to make this latte recipe. You will also need a frother that makes cold foam ( you can which or use a blender, it just won’t make as nice of a foam texture) I have made this without cold foam, and it still tastes nice, but I like adding the cold foam. It levels up the latte.
What Does Matcha Taste Like? Matcha is known for its umami complex flavor. It’s often described as earthy, slightly bitter, and nutty, with a smooth and creamy finish. It’s a bit grassy, earthy, and sweet-tasting. I’m not super fond of it hot, but I LOVE it cold and iced with strawberry sauce. It has a unique flavor, and I enjoy it.
Where do I buy Matcha? I have gotten it at a regular grocery store, but recently, I found an organic matcha brand on Amazon that I like. Nowadays, you can find it in the coffee/tea section at most stores.
