Simple Nut Free Granola, you can make this in about one hour!

This is the recipe for our simple nut-free granola that my daughter and I make all the time. There was a time when my daughter couldn’t eat nuts, so we had to make a modified version of our favorite granola. This recipe is a keeper, and so easy to make, and of course if you can eat nuts, by all means, add them!

I will show you in my new youtube video how I make this nut-free granola, it’s at the end of my DIY pantry makeover.

Nut-Free Granola

Ingredients

  • 6 cups Old Fashioned Oats
  • 1 cup Pumpkin seeds
  • 1/2 cup Sunflower seeds
  • 4 tbsp Chia seeds
  • 1 cup Coconut flakes
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Maple Syrup
  • 1/2 cup Melted Butter
  • 1/2 cup Melted Coconut oil
  • 2 tsp Vanilla paste (or Vanilla extract)
  • 2 cups Raisins (or your choice of dried fruit)

Instructions

  1. Mix all the dry ingredients first.

  2. Add maple syrup, vanilla paste, melted butter, and melted coconut oil and mix thoroughly.

  3. Pour onto two large-rimmed baking sheets, I like to line them with parchment for easier cleanup.

  4. Bake at 275 F. for 45-50 minutes, stirring and flipping the granola mixture halfway through baking.

  5. After the granola has cooled for ten minutes add one cup of raisins to each baking sheet and incorporated it into the mixture.

  6. When granola is completely cooled add to a jar or air-tight container.

Homemade is always better in my opinion, because you know what’s in it!
