First off, I want to say that living off-grid is not for everyone, and that’s OK. This is our own personal experience, and I’m sharing it with you. Everyone’s experiences are different and unique. We couldn’t afford solar, partly because we were installing major systems on our homestead (house, gardens, well, and barn).
Using candles and lamps was really cozy for us, we actually liked it. We’re kinda old fashioned that way.

My friend and I were talking about outhouses, oil lamps, starting fires and how I didn’t mind it, and most of the time I thought it refreshing, my friend stated “Well, you are a pretty burly girl”, so maybe my inner mountain woman likes it 😉

So, if anyone wants to know more about our experience using  candles and lamps, this video is for you.

Thanks for watching, and please subscribe to our youtube channel!
