Granny's Cocoa Sauce/Syrup

This easy chocolate sauce will make anything taste better, and whips up in minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups organic cane sugar
  • 4 tbsp organic flour
  • 1/4 cup organic cocoa
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  1. Mix all the dry ingredients together in a small mixing bowl. Pour dry ingredients into a med. sauce pan, add water. Whisk ingredients thoroughly and keep stirring during the whole cooking process. Cook over med.high heat until sauce comes to a boil, stir for a couple minutes more. Take the pan off the heat and whisk in butter and vanilla, pour into a glass container and refrigerate will thicken as it cools.

Will store in airtight container for several weeks.

Now you have the most delicious chocolate syrup ever! Go make some chocolate milk, pour it into your coffee, or better yet, go make a banana split or a chocolate parfait.
