About Us
My family and I sought out land to raise our family of seven. Our dream property had no electricity, so we decided to live "Off-The-Grid". Wow! What an experience. We camped for 6 mo. with no water at first. Eating over a campfire, starting gardens and building a small bunk cabin to live in. While we started building our house, my wife washed all our clothes in a wringer washer and hung them on the line to dry. Everyday was like living the pioneer life.
At the end of 6 mo. we moved into our home with water! We all were so happy to be in four walls before winter. In this process we found out we needed a way to dry clothes in all four seasons. So.... we went shopping and there just wasn't anything out there that was sturdy and large enough to dry our clothes. That's how we had the idea to build our own line of sturdy large drying racks, and how we started Homestead Drying Racks.com and the rest is history! Now Mark & Erin Harrison (new owners of homestead drying racks) build the beautiful drying racks we designed.
We now sell the Grandpa Jakes Campfire Cooker, handcrafted and drop shipped by Don & Lisa a dedicated homesteading couple that also live in North Idaho.
What are we doing now?
We our homesteading,and filming!
Homesteading is an adventure, that we hope will last our lifetime.
