This hand made Drying Rack is unbelievable! I met this off grid homestead family in the past month. They contacted us by email (which they have to go to the local library to use). We had been looking for a good, solid hard wood drying rack for years. When we filmed our noodle making, we were using a walmart piece of trash, rack. If you just bump it a little too hard, my noodles would fall to the floor and the rack would collapse. We had some Amish friends that had a sturdy rack but it was not big enough for what we needed it for. When this family contacted us, we looked at a photo of this rack. It looked big enough and sturdy enough, but until we actually got the rack shipped to us, we were not sure if it was all they said it would be. It is way more than we could imagine. Way, way, bigger than we thought it would be. When Mark assembled it, which I must add, the instructions were hand made and were very user friendly, he was really impressed with how they packaged it. Mark is a carpenter, so he knows what woods are good and going to hold up. He is a perfectionist as well, so it really takes a lot to impress my husband. HE WAS IMPRESSED. After he put this rack together, it actually made him look tiny next to it. He is 6'4" so this rack was close to his height but way wider. The next morning after a big snowfall, the kids went outside to play and came back soaking wet. I put all their snow pants, hats, scarves, coats on this big HOMESTEADER RACK, and there was still tons of drying space. 56 feet of drying space total!!!! I parked the easy to move rack over our wood burning floor grate, and within about 45 minutes, the coats were completely bone dry. We were so blessed to have this rack, you have no idea. I think everyone should have one in their home!!!! I am a neat nick so I do not like to have a big rack in my living room all the time, so another great feature is how this rack folds up and looks nice stored on an open wall (see photo below). I love my rack, I love my rack 4 Comments |
