When we started our business a year ago the prices had to change a couple of times too. There is always so much to account for, you can’t be handcrafting a product for free.

Taming the campfire has eluded me for many years, so I finally gave up and moved on to the gas grill, but with this ingénues design theCampfire Cooker“Papa Jakes” has me taking a new interest in the forgotten skills of yesteryear. Like a Swiss army knife with its arms over the fire, the campfire cooker can handle multiple cooking tasks, at different temperatures all at the same time.

After driving the steel stake in the ground you slide on the cooking arms. The “campfire remotes” are really the key to the cooking system. Holding them in both hands you can raise and lower the cooking arms safely for the perfect temperature. Built with the cook in mind the cooking platform is swung away from the fire by using a “remote” and now becomes a safer serving platform than leaning over a hot fire. An example of this would be using the “campfire remote” to swing one of the cooking arms with your iron ware over the hotter part of the fire, to fry home grown diced potatoes spiced with savory herbs. On the other arm are pancakes waiting for a smothering of fresh butter, topped with a fruit preserve. Of course, all the while a steady line of innocent faces with plates in hand, all lean forward when any lid is lifted showing the gourmet treasure inside.

There is a satisfaction in seeing the campfire cooker in action. Amazement seems to overcome you, as you watch a simple campfire harnessed in a new way, producing gourmet goodness.
You can swing the cooking platform away from fire to serve food or use as table to pour your tea or coffee!
